It is normally produced during fetal development and then re expressed in increased amounts in colorectal, gastric, pancreatic, lung and breast carcinomas. CEA measurement is mainly used as tumor marker to identify recurrence after surgical resection. Buffer: Protein A purified total immunoglobulin IgG in10 mM PO4, 200 mM NaCl, pH 7.4, 1 % BSA, 0.05% sodium azide. Host: Rabbit Reagent: Concentrated or prediluted antibody. Storage: 2-8oC. Epitope: Not determined Species reactivity: Human, others not tested. Immunogen: Human CEA purified from colon carcinoma. Positive control: Human colon cancer Cellular localization: Luminal membrane and Cytoplasmic Application: Immunohistochemistry (IHC) for formalin-fixed paraffin embedded (FFPE) tissue sections and frozen sections. Dilute 1:100-1:200 using polymer or streptavidin ~biotin system for 30 mins at room temperature. The optimum dilution should be determined by the individual lab.
