Description: Fibronectin is a glycoprotein present in a soluble dimeric form in plasma, and in a dimeric or multimeric form at the cell surface and extracellular matrix. Fibronectin is involved in cell adhesion and migration process including embryogenesis, wound healing, blood coagulation, host defense, and metastasis. They also occur as dimmer of two 200 kDa subunits. Fibronectin has been implicated in carcinoma development in lung cancer. Fibronectin expression is increased especially in non-small cell lung carcinoma. The adhesion of lung carcinoma cells to Fibronectin enhances tumorgenecity and confers resistance to apoptosis induced by standard chemotherapeutic agents.
Buffer: Total immunoglobulin IgG purified on protein A column in 10 mM PO4, 150 mM NaCl, 1% BSA, and pH 7.4, 0.05% sodium azide. Host: Rabbit Reagent: Conc. antibody Storage: 2-8oC. Species reactivity: Human, others not tested Epitope: Not determined Specificity: This antibody reacts with human Fibronectin in liver, tonsil, skin and kidney. Application: Immunohistochemistry (IHC) 1:100-1:200 for 30 minute at room temperature using polymer system or streptavidin-biotin system. Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections and cell smears require antigen retriever, boiling tissue in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 minute, followed by cooling at room temp. for 20 minutes.
