Luteinizing hormone (LH), Polyclonal rabbit anti-human Catalog number: RP-4024-01 0.5 ml Concentration: IgG 2 mg/ml RP-4024-02 1.0 ml Concentration IgG 2 mg/ml RP-4024-04 7.0 ml Prediluted for IHC IgG ~10µg/ml Description: Luteinizing hormone (LH) is a tropic hormone which modulates the secretory activity of other endocrine glands. This glycoprotein hormone is produced in the anterior hypophysis of the pituitary gland. In the female an acute rise of LH the LH surge – triggers ovulation. In the male, where LH had also been called Interstitial Cell Stimulating Hormone (ICSH), it stimulates Leydig cell production of testosterone. The alpha subunits of LH, FSH, TSH, and hCG are identical, and contain 92 amino acids, the beta subunit vary. LH has a beta subunit of 121 amino acids (LHB) that confers its specific biologic action. and is responsible for interaction with the LH receptor. This antibody stains both free and intact LH and is useful for the classification of pituitary adenomas and tumors of the pituitary. Buffer Protein A purified total IgG in 10 mM PO4, 150 mM NaCl, and pH 7.4, 1% BSA, 0.05% % sodium azide Host: Rabbit Intended Use Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Immunocytchemistry (ICC) Storage: 2-8°C Immunogen: LH beta. Positive control: Human anterior pituitary. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic. Species reactivity: Human, others not tested.
