MUC2, Polyclonal rabbit anti-human Catalog number: RP-4013-01 0.5 ml Concentrated IgG 2 mg/ml RP-4013-02 1.0 ml Concentrated IgG 2 mg/ml RP-4013-04 7.0 ml Prediluted for IHC IgG ~8µg/ml Description: Mucin 2, oligomeric mucus/gel-forming, also known as MUC2, is a human intestinal mucin gene. This gene is expressed in colon, small intestine, colonic tumors, bronchus, cervix, gall bladder, and possibly other tissues. Mucins are high molecular weight glycoproteins having oligosaccharides attached to serine or threonine residue of the apomucin protein backbone by O-glycosidic linkages. This antibody stains normal colon and colonic carcinomas where it produces intense perinuclear staining in goblet cells. It also reacts with normal and neoplastic breast tissues and with prostate carcinoma. Buffer Total immunoglobulin IgG purified by protein A column in 10 mM PO4, 200 mM NaCl, pH 7.4, 1% BSA, 0.05% sodium azide Host: Rabbit Intended Use Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Immunocytchemistry (ICC) Storage: 2-8° Immunogen: 23 amino acid MUC2 peptide Positive control: Human colon carcinoma, LS 174 T colon cancer cell line Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic, perinuclear staining of goblet cells. Species reactivity: Human, mouse, rat, others not tested. Application: IHC, ICC (frozen or formalin–fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections, cell smears) 1:50-1:100 using streptavidin-Biotin system or polymer system. Prediluted antibody is used directly without dilution. For FFPE tissue sections high temperature antigen retriever (boiling tissue in 10 mM citrate buffer for 10 minutes) enhances the signal and may require further dilution of antibody.. The optimum dilution should be determined by the individual lab. General References
